IEEE, South African DST and NRF approve plan for assessing human capital development in Space Systems and Applications at a recent Steering Committee meeting. A six-month review of University and professional capabilities will include workshops in South Africa and an IEEE expert panel to assess gaps and offer recommendations. A report will be provided to the South African Department of Science and Technology and the South African National Research Foundation in mid 2010.
