This workshop on the socio-economic benefits of geospatial information/GEOSS 2012 will be held in Boulder, Colorado, on June 12 through 14, 2012. It is a follow-on to two prior workshops held respectively in Washington DC in 2010 and Ispra, Italy in 2011). Geospatial information from Earth observation and other sources contributes to decisions by both societal and individual decision-makers. This workshop will review quantitative socio-economic methodologies and metrics for assessing and communicating the value of geospatial information.
