The workshop focused on the needs of users and the architecture of GEOSS to provide data and information with an emphasis on applications of Earth systems data and information within Africa. The workshop provided opportunities for interactions between GEOSS users and the architecture approach recommended by the ad-hoc GEO Architecture sub-group.
